Maquila System at AGM
At Agricultura Global Monterrey (AGM), we manage a maquila system designed to maximize the efficiency and quality of each batch of onions we process. Here is our step-by-step process:
Receiving Merchandise
The onions arrive at our facilities and undergo an initial quality control. We check the size, color, and condition of the product to ensure it meets our standards for freshness and quality.
Sorting with the Selector Machine
The merchandise is transported to our advanced sorting machine, where it is automatically classified by size, weight, and quality. This step ensures product uniformity and facilitates subsequent peeling and packaging processes.
Selection and Peeling Area
After automatic sorting, the onions go to our manual selection and peeling area. Here, a trained team visually inspects each bulb, removing those that do not meet quality standards and peeling those requiring additional processing. This ensures that only the best product reaches our customers.
Packaging in Agricultural Boxes and Mesh Bags
Once selected and peeled, the onions are packed into different types of containers:
-Agricultural Boxes: Ideal for protection during transport and storage.
-Mesh Bags: Lighter, ventilated packaging suitable for freshness in distribution and retail sales.
Each step in our maquila system is designed to preserve the quality and freshness of the onions, ensuring that our customers receive an optimal product ready to meet their commercial and consumer needs.
